The purpose of The Crossroads is to develop, recreate, dream, achieve, evaluate, transform, regenerate, work, improve, promote and generally to make the best out of our Heritage. We are working to transform an ancient urban villa into an eco community self sufficient Project thanks to the invaluable support of volunteers from all over the world.
The Peloponnese is a large peninsula located in southern Greece, separated from the mainland by the Gulf of Corinth and connected by the Corinth Canal. It has a rich and complex history that dates back to antiquity and played a crucial role in the development of Greek civilization.

By taking part in our project you will have the opportunity to meet new people who, just like you, want to explore the world, discover new cultures, learn new things and improve themselves thanks to experiences shared with all of us.
The Crossroads is all this, and much more!
We are focused on saving natural resources, recycling waste, creating compost, growing our own plant-based foods, and caring for the environment around us.
Meeting new people from other countries gives you the opportunity to open up to new ways of thinking, break down inequalities and prejudices. It's time to make new friends.
You will be involved in different types of activities, all simple and easily manageable, but which will test your skills allowing you to expand your competences and abilities.
Living in a community is different from living in your own home. You will learn to live with a group of people, where mutual respect is the basis of healthy coexistence.
...into a self-sustainable eco-project. Over the years we have undertaken, and will increasingly undertake, the path of eco-sustainability. Many of our projects are aimed at achieving this important goal.
We provide a space for intercultural exchange where participants share experiences, traditions, and ideas, enriching the community with new perspectives and fostering collaboration between people of different nationalities.
We transform waste materials into useful, creative, and functional objects. This activity reduces waste and promotes innovation, giving new life to seemingly useless resources for construction and furnishings.
Volunteers cultivate organic gardens using sustainable farming practices, learning permaculture techniques and promoting biodiversity to ensure fresh, local food for the community.
We organize practical workshops on sustainability topics, from organic farming to crafts, to share knowledge and skills useful for community life.
We build structures using eco-friendly techniques and natural or recycled materials, such as earth, wood, and straw, to create sustainable living spaces with a low environmental impact.
We promote artistic expression through creative projects that beautify community spaces. We strive to give room to the imagination and creativity of the volunteers.
Volunteers learn craftsmanship skills, how to sand, cut, assemble, and refurbish furniture and other wooden components using reclaimed wood or wood from responsible pruning and felling.
We prepare collective meals with local, seasonal ingredients from our garden, promoting healthy, sustainable eating while valuing both traditional and international cuisine.
We harvest fruit from our orchard, promoting the consumption of zero-mile food and preserving any surplus through techniques like jam-making or drying.
Periodically, we commit to carrying out missions outside our project to help keep the surrounding environment as clean as possible, as it is a shared resource of our region.
Volunteers learn to prune trees and shrubs correctly, ensuring plant health and maximum productivity from orchards while respecting the natural cycle.
Daily household tasks, from cleaning to maintenance, are shared among community members, contributing to an orderly and functional environment for everyone.

Pam's Pan is a private culinary experience located in Megalopolis, in the Peloponnese region of Greece. The founder, Pam, originally from the Netherlands, moved to a village in the Peloponnese to study the culinary arts. After earning her degree, she worked in Greek restaurants specializing in modern Mediterranean cuisine.
Today, Pam organizes private dinners through Pam's Pan, with the aim of fostering human connection through food. Guests, including both travelers and locals, are invited to participate in these unique culinary experiences, often focused on cultural exchange or specific themes, such as women-only events.

It all started over 10 years ago, in 2014. Alexander decided to take over his ancestors villa, with over 100 years of history.
Initially, the work was focused on restoring the roof, and then, step by step, the rooms and the basement area, so as to provide welcoming accommodation for volunteers.
Over the years, the focus has increasingly shifted towards the concept of eco-sustainability, and today the villa, completely renovated, represents a place that has its own partial autonomy, thanks to the vegetable garden that produces a large variety of vegetables and fruit.
Many wooden works have been created, such as the support for the vineyard, the compost boxes, the tree house, the glass house and others.
Other projects are on the way to increasingly improve the self-production capacity of the villa and to make it totally self-sufficient.
